The "Focus on Photographers" Show
An exciting show at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY
The Opening of “Focus on Photographers” was held on January 13, at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY. The photographers in the show are: David Burnett, Sandra Belitza-Vazquez, Tony Cenicola, Pierce Johnston, William A. Loeb, William Snyder and Jane Soodalter.
Two celebrated photographers — four-time Pulitzer Prize-winner William Snyder and the world-renowned David Burnett — gave talks on their experiences as photojournalists.
There were about 150 people present for the Opening, and the place was packed — standing room only. At the end of the opening we auctioned off photographer-signed-posters for the benefit of the Howland Cultural Center.
My partner, Ronnie Beth Sauers and I served as co-curators of the show.

The Florence Northcutt Gallery is open weekends from 1-5 pm, or by appointment, and closes on February 25. Below is an overview of the show.

A Closer Look at the Photographs
In this section, I present two photographs from each artist. These are my personal favorites. Due to the physical space restrictions of the Howland, some of the photos are taken at an angle to avoid the columns and light reflections.

I just had to include a photo of someone taking a photo of the Rolling Stones.
